Thresholds traces the hidden architectures of the hive, cycles of the moon, and quiet spaces where structure meets instinct. Beeswax and reclaimed hive components carry traces of labour and process, bridging material and metaphor. The work exists in the in-between, where observation, transformation, and the unseen converge.
Drawings:

Drawing forms the foundation of the work, tracing outlines, marks, and rhythms that emerge through meditative, automatic movement. Graphite and paper carry the texture of place, light, and atmosphere. Each piece exists in its own space while flowing into the broader cycle of Thresholds.

Sculptural work:
Sculptural pieces are made from reclaimed hive components, including crown boards and landing boards. Some are mounted on panels, others exist as free-standing forms. Beeswax and paint carry traces of labour and material memory. Each piece exists as a threshold – between structure and instinct, observation and transformation.
Some sculptures are still in development, reflecting the evolving nature of Thresholds. Work in progress sits alongside completed pieces, carrying the same quiet rhythm and sense of emergence.

Installation / Experiential:
Thresholds extends into site-responsive environments, where sculpture, light, and materiality interact. Elements shaped by time and tide, traces of past stories, beeswax, and found objects—form immersive spaces that resonate with memory and rhythm. Each installation occupies its own threshold, where unseen stories and subtle atmospheres rise into view.
